NeuroFlow, a mental health technology company, today announced that it has been selected to participate in a unique certification program at the newly-opened Smart Health Innovation Lab, a healthcare market adoption accelerator for innovative technologies. Founded by Aspire Ventures, Capital BlueCross, Clio Health, and Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, the Smart Health Innovation Lab is designed to help market-ready healthcare technologies accelerate their path to health system adoption and insurance reimbursement.

By joining the Smart Health Innovation Lab’s highly-selective 12-week certification program, NeuroFlow will be able to collaborate with technology, payor, and clinical experts to validate its product and integrate its technology into clinical workflows. During the program, NeuroFlow will utilize various simulated care environments at the lab’s state-of-the-art facilities, including a hospital room, physical therapy gym, clinician’s office, and home environment to demonstrate how its technologies impact cost, the patient and provider experience, and health outcomes.

NeuroFlow applied to the Smart Health Certification Program for the mentorship and access to healthcare providers. The technology platform is a HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based product allowing healthcare providers to objectively track, assess and engage patients using evidence-based practices to support their mental health. NeuroFlow’s suite of tools support remote monitoring and behavioral health integration across the continuum of care, from psychology, primary care and pain management settings.

“The past several months have been exciting for the NeuroFlow team. After years of research and development, we launched our product empowering providers and patients, and are now in 75 clinics and hospitals around the country,” NeuroFlow CEO Chris Molaro said. “We’re certainly excited that the Smart Health Innovation Lab sees value in technologies geared toward improving the patient experience. This partnership will play a vital role in our mission in helping health systems access digital health technology to help improve patient engagement and compliance throughout treatment.”

Upon successful completion of the 12-week program, technologies will receive Smart Health Certification, entry into partnering health systems, and a path to payor reimbursement.

“The goal of the Smart Health Innovation Lab’s certification program is to fast-track the healthcare innovations we feel have the highest potential to truly transform the industry,” said Kim Ireland, CEO of Smart Health Innovation Lab. “As a result, the startups we select for the program are companies we believe will deliver the maximum benefit to population health. We look forward to working with NeuroFlow so that they can gain a stronger foothold in the market and overcome hurdles to insurer reimbursement.”
